I would be willing to stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Note: I stayed mid-September, so it may have affected service quality as it's kind of shoulder-season. According to signage at the park, you're supposed to check in at the Museum to get a pass and the code for the firewood locker and showers. I had booked online and arrived after they were closed for the evening, so I didn't get the code, so no comment on the showers. The signage on the washrooms nearest my site indicated they were cleaned daily: they were certainly not cleaned at that time, and didn't look like they'd been cleaned/stocked in several days. But, they were flush toilets, and there was lighting, so that was nice. The campsite itself was okay. The ground was soft and relatively level. My site was clean, but there was some garbage in the (vacant) neighbouring site. There is very minimal privacy though and my site was near to a public walking trail, compounding the privacy issue. The campground is close enough to the highway that there's some light, steady, road-noise. This likely wouldn't affect those staying in a camper.
Very nice place to camp, lots of firewood, large lots and good price. The only complaint I would have is that they need to put up signage for the sewer dumping spot otherwise great!
Nice campground the location was easy enough to find, nice lady at the desk, might need a bit more training. Sites were very nice size for a large motorhome. Bathroom/Showers were small but usuable. Right along the golfcourse so was entertainment too. Wonderful paths for walks.
Stopped in to reserve a RV spot a week prior to my stay. When I arrived on the day that I booked, in the spot I was told to utilize, there was another camper there. When I called the Parks Dept, they offered 5 other “empty spots” but they were not empty. Now I have to wait for the town to send me my payment back.
An amazing park. The campsites are nice, some are pretty small, but the park the campground is situated in is great. Playground equipment, walking path, outdoor workout equipment, baseball diamonds, running track, 9 frisbee golf holes, and more. A very nice park and campground.
