Very nice park. A few trails or just randomly walk around great views and very quiet.
This is a lovely park for families and adults alike - worth a little drive. The playgrounds are big and suitable for toddlers up to older children, and I love how it overlooks the huge lake. There are picnic tables and shelters scattered all over so you will always find a place to rest and eat. The walking bridge is nice and the kids love running across it and looking out over the lake. I plan to come back with our kayaks some time but they have a variety of boats for rent too. This park just has a nice relaxing vibe and I can't wait to come back!
Had a wonderful at this scenic park. The boat ride rental were affordable and the staff was extremely helpful and setting us up for a ride. The lake was beautiful and many visitors were there fishing.
Our Church holds its annual volunteer picnic here. It is such a great place for families to come and relax, for churches and other organizations to host events. It makes for a great fishing spot as well.
LOVE this place! It's absolutely wonderful. The park is quite large with playgrounds, beach volleyball, hiking, boating, and fishing. Plenty of space for large groups. We hosted my nephews birthday party and a family reunion here years ago. Lots of covered areas and pavilions available. This time I walked the trail around the entire lake for the first time and it was phenomenally relaxing. Not difficult at all but there are a few hills and sections where you have to be more conscious of where and how you step. The lake and boathouse (rentals and light refreshments available) are at the rear of the park. So bypass the first parking lot and drive all the way to the back if the lake is what you're looking for.
