Manning Park is one of my favourites. Skyview is a full hook up site (sewer, water, 30/50amps), and with full hook sites you normally give up some privacy. Skyview is no different, however in the offseason it's quiet, the lake is empty, and you've got endless access to trails and nature. The full hook up is nice for longer stays and for keeping the trailer warm at night without burning through your propane. It is kept very clean, the outhouses, if you can even call them that, have flush toilets and running water. They also have a full shower house as well! We try to come twice a year and it never disappoints
A newly renovated campground with big, clean spots and nature all around. The playground has something for little and a little bit bigger kids. There is no cellphone reception but you can pay for 24h wifi. Lightning Lake can be reached after a short walk. There you can rent kayaks, SUPs or canoes. If you like hiking, no need to move your car. There are plenty of other hikes that start near the campground. There are also ranger programs offered in the summer but many happen in the amphitheatre of the nearby lightning campground, a short drive away.
Really enjoyed our experience here. Lovely campground with clean facilities. Flush “outhouse” toilets with sinks and soap. Showers in the main facility. Pay a little more than the gov’t campground but it’s nice to have a place you can actually book. Lots of local hiking, 20 minute hike was right off the campground. Short walk to the lake. Very quiet campground also. Well managed and very clean. We were camped beside the road and while a bit busy, traffic didn’t bother us too much. Will book again for next year but will try for a site against the trails. Huge playground for the kids also. Overall a great experience.
Skyview Campground lives up to its name—views for days and skies that look straight out of a Windows wallpaper. Campsites are perfectly level, which means less time spent levelling the travel trailer. And the washrooms? Super clean! Surrounded by mountains, trees, and more fresh air than your lungs can handle. It’s basically a nature spa. Tons of hiking nearby—Twenty Minute Lake trail is a gentle stroll that even a French Bulldog can conquer without needing to be carried (a rare win). Lightning Lake loop? A bit more work, but totally worth it for the views—and the smug feeling of earning your marshmallows later. If you want peace, views, and a campground that doesn’t make you question your life choices, Skyview is it. Just bring your camera...
Manning Park/ Skyview is a fantastic year-round destination offering diverse outdoor activities. In winter, the park transforms into a snowy wonderland perfect for skiing, snowshoeing, and cozy cabin stays. Summer reveals vibrant trails for hiking and biking, with stunning alpine meadows in full bloom. The serene lakes are ideal for canoeing and fishing. The park's amenities, including hookups, lighting, fun playground, flush toilets and showers, add to the comfort of your stay. However, privacy can be an issue due to the sparse tree coverage between campsites, leading to a lack of seclusion from neighboring campers. Despite this, the breathtaking scenery and wide range of recreational opportunities make Manning Park a worthwhile visit for nature enthusiasts. 🏕🐕🤩♥️ Recomendado!
