Had an amazing time with my family, went there in August so there were spots where the water level was low and kept getting stuck on my kayak but other than that had a blast! The overall route took about 4 hours and it had great areas to swim and fish.

We had an incredible time! The water is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of spots to stop for lunch or take a swim in the crystal-clear blue holes. Just be cautious of submerged rocks and trees—water shoes are definitely recommended. Some areas are quite shallow, so be prepared to hop out and reposition your kayak a few times. The graffiti-covered bus ride to the launch point adds a fun and unique touch to the whole experience!

I don’t even want to tell people about the Piney because I don’t want it to get ruined. The float is great. Good for everyone even beginners. The people at Pinewood Canoe are also awesome. Booking online line makes it easy and you will know you will get a boat. If you can go Monday through Thursday you will pretty much have the river to yourself. Highest recommend. We have been going there for at least 10 years. Plenty of places to stop. Plan on being on the river for up to 5 hours. I know it goes without saying but bring food and drinks with you and you are probably going to get wet.

We had our annual trip here for the first time. The place was clean and organized. Very nice people to work with! Beautiful scenery and water is super clear. (Gorgeous views) My only complaint is how we have to unload and load our things. We can’t drive to our location and drop off our tent and supplies, we have to unload them into a wheel barrel and walk everything to our campsite from the bathroom location. I understand it’s to keep the grass nice. But when you have disabled people in your group this gets to be a challenging task. We had suggested bringing our golf cart but it seemed frowned upon. The other thing was having to walk up the giant hill to return your life jacket and paddles after you get back from the float. I would suggest either barrels or a truck to place them in and have staff haul them back. Our over all experience was great and will more than likely be back next year for our 19th annual trip.

This was my first time kayaking and it’s a perfect day trip. I was there at 10 done by three and home by six. They have kayaking rentals in canoe rentals they shuttle you to an area to drop you off. It took about five hours from start to finish with plenty of places along the way to stop get off, swim fish and they have areas that you can get off and camp with wood provided highly recommend this place. The water was clear even though there were a lot of people weren’t crowded. There’s places that you can fish and once you get to the end of the route you can stay and swimthere in the river there is another package that you can even go in further if you would like camp at site they have bath restrooms and showers for men and women and would at the drop off spot if you’d like to stay there and highly recommend this place
